Challenge

One of two Siemens boiler-feed-pump motors needed replacement without changing the foundation, coupling, or cabling in a critical power-plant service.

Solution

The replacement motor was engineered as a drop-in unit, with cooling upgraded and starting/running behavior reviewed against the duty requirements.

Outcome

The site received a compatible replacement for one side of the twin pump system with improved cooling and operating performance.

Replacement motors can be designed with identical main and auxiliary terminal boxes to avoid site cable, terminal, and commissioning changes.
