Project overview
A copper mine slurry pump motor was replaced with a VFD-compatible design and improved electrical performance.
The original slurry pump motor suffered temperature trips, blocked cooling, and insulation stress under VFD operation.
A VFD-compatible motor was selected with high-voltage spike-resistant insulation, improved duty margin, and electrical performance matched to the pump application.
The replacement reduced stator current and improved operating reliability without requiring foundation, coupling, or cable changes.
